The Hillside Festival is back for another year of great music and good times in Guelph. The Hillside Festival

The Hillside Festival in Guelph is a three-day, five-stage event that emphasizes diversity in modern music. This year’s lineup embraces a variety of styles and influences including indie, rock, folk, hip-hop, blues, jazz, world, electronic and reggae music with bands like the Great Lake Swimmers, Cold Specks, The Arkells, The Durants, Kathleen Edwards, The Be Good Tanyas and many more. The Hillside Festival has been taking place in Guelph for over 30 years now and is the recipient of the Best Greening of a Festival Award for its environmental initiatives. The Hillside Festival will be taking place at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area, a 20-minute drive from Hazelview’s 27 and 40 Vanier Drive Apartments.

The Great Lake Swimmers are one of Canada’s most beloved indie/folk bands with their surging rhythm section, razor sharp violin solos and stunning banjo and guitar sounds. Most of their set will include songs from their dynamic sixth album, A Forest of Arms.
