Decorating For The Holidays

Partager:

The Holidays are just around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited! Get into the holiday spirit with Hazelview Properties and deck out your apartment in festive decor -- no matter which holiday you celebrate.

Choose A Few Larger Pieces

If you’re not someone who likes to go all out on decorations, consider picking a few large items to display in your home. You could have a big snowman or a large Christmas tree in a corner, or a beautiful centerpiece on your table. This is a great way to create a point of focus in a room and also avoid clutter.

Decorate For The Season

If you’re not sure where to start, don’t focus too much on holiday-specific decor. Think about the winter season and you will have more options to work with. For example, twinkle lights always look great on a wall -- whether it’s a holiday or not. Pinecones, a wintery wreath, white winter signs and ribbons are a great way to decorate without putting too much focus on the holidays.

Anchor Smaller Decor Items

If you have a bunch of small decor items to display, find a placemat or tray to put them on. This is a great way to have everything anchored in one place and a good way to keep things organized. A beautiful gold tray with several festive decor pieces will look better on a table than random items scattered on the table. With a tray, basket or placemat, all the pieces will look like they belong together.

Pick An Area To Decorate

Designate an area of your apartment that you want to decorate -- preferably a spot that’s very visible. Whether you decide to go with your front hallway, living room or dining table, selecting one area will be easier to manage. Plus, you won’t have to worry about spending extra money on decorating another area of your home.

When it comes to holiday season decorating, we’ve got you covered! We hope these tips from Hazelview help you set the perfect mood for the holidays in your home!
