DIY Valentine's Day gifts we love

Partager:

It may be a bit of a “Hallmark holiday”, but it’s nice to have Valentine’s Day on the calendar to remind us all to show some love to the people we love. The gifts that tend to make the biggest impact are the ones we make ourselves, by hand. To help you make a lasting impression, Hazelview Properties has some DIY Valentine’s Day gift tutorials to share with you. We hope your love loves them, too!

Valentine Bath Bombs

Give your love the gift of these soothing and sensual DIY Valentine Bath Bombs. All you need is baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, coconut butter, red food colouring, an essential oil of your choice and a spray bottle of Witch Hazel. Combine the cornstarch, citric acid and baking soda in a mixing bowl. Add red food colouring, a few drops of essential oil and melted coconut oil. Spray the mixture with Witch Hazel, and continue to spray until the mixture holds its shape when squeezed. Press the mix into a heart-shaped silicone mold. They will need about 36 hours to dry out completely, giving you plenty of time to download a printable label and find a mason jar to put them in. To use simply break the bath bomb under running water.

DIY Romantic Dinner

If you want to make a sweet and romantic gift for your sweetheart, but you don’t feel like you have the chops to create a crafty gift, this one is for you. Start by downloading a free printable PDF wine label that you can use to wrap a loving message around your bottle. Pair that wine with one of these easy-to-make romantic recipes, or share the wine while you cook together.

Melting Heart Love Slime

Your kids will love giving this Melting Heart Love Slime, and your partner will love that they aren’t bringing home more candy! You’ll need red glitter glue, liquid starch and optional additions like confetti, essential oils and a heart-shaped box. The slime is simply red glitter glue mixed slowly with liquid starch. Add more glitter, confetti or essential oil if desired. Cut it with a heart-shaped cookie cutter.

Valentine’s Pom Pom Bouquet

A Valentine’s Pom Pom Bouquet is a cute and cuddly way for you or your kids to give a bouquet of flowers that won’t wilt or die. All you need is scissors, green felt, ribbon, twine, assorted colours of yarn, twigs, white spray paint and glue.

Sweetheart Vase

You’ll need somewhere to put those real or Pom Pom flowers. This Sweetheart Vase is a fun, easy and sweet storage solution. Cut heart shapes from red felt, thread them onto twine and wrap it around a mason jar.
