Western Canada’s largest winter festival, the Festival du Voyageur is back for another year of exciting entertainment and activities. This family-friendly event, which celebrates the vitality of today’s franco-manitoban community, offers live music and performances, world-class snow sculptures, delicious French-Canadian food and plenty of activities for kids. Hazelview’s Winnipeg apartments offer rental suites in some of the city’s most bustling and established areas including the St. Vital community and in the heart of downtown Winnipeg.

About the Festival

Western Canada’s largest winter festival, the Festival du Voyageur in Winnipeg is on for another year of family fun and entertainment on February 13th to 22nd, 2015. Enjoy meeting Fort Gibraltar’s historical characters, admiring snow sculptures created by artists from around the world, dancing and jigging to live music, tasting delicious French-Canadian food and more. Winnipeg’s French quarter is transformed for the festival into a winter paradise, perfect for the event’s vast array of historical, recreational and educational activities.

Tickets

Both Voyageur Park day passes and ten-day passes are available for the festival. Day and full festival packages are available for adults, youth and children. Kids under the age of four are admitted for free. Tickets to the festival are available for purchase at Safeway, Voyageur Park, the Festival du Voyageur office, the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain and Club Regent Casino.

L’Auberge du Violon

This unique festival experience is perfect for people wanting to dance and sing the day away at the Festival du Voyageur. This event takes place at Saint-Boniface Cathedral Parish and brings lively fiddle music to festival-goers. The Saint-Boniface Cathedral is less than a 35-minute transit ride from Hazelview’s 15 Arden Avenue Apartments.

Club St-B

Located just a few steps away from Voyageur Park is Club St-B, a local site hosting the legendary Voyageur Games. These classic games consist of leg wrestling, pillow fighting, tug of war, log sawing, axe throwing and more. Hazelview’s 160 Smith Street Apartments are less than a 20-minute walk from Club St-B in Winnipeg.

Rendezvous on Ice
