Partager:

Spring has sprung! Use today’s post from the Hazelview Properties blog team to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather ahead near our Oshawa apartments.

Dust off your bicycle

One of the best ways to experience the beauty of Oshawa during the springtime is to go for a bike ride. Start by ensuring your bike is road ready with a trip to Bicycles Plus (843 King Street West, #11). This locally-owned-and-operated business is only a three-minute drive from 380 Gibb Street Apartments.

Best trails nearby

380 Gibb Street Apartments is only about a five-minute bike ride from the Joseph Kolodzie Oshawa Creek Bike Path. This paved trail is seven kilometres long and surrounded by green plant life. Follow the creek this spring to visit Lakeview Park or stop by the Oshawa Valley Botanical Garden. The trail will open for the season beginning April 1st.

A day at the park

Grab a book and a blanket and head to Lakeview Park (Lakeview Park Avenue), about a 15-minute bike ride or five-minute drive from 380 Gibb Street Apartments. One of Oshawa’s most popular picnic spots, this local park also connects with the Waterfront Trail. The trail is over 1,600 kilometres long, connecting over 70 communities and 400 parks.

Visit a farmers’ market

Farmers’ market season is just around the corner. Treat yourself to fresh local produce this spring. Take your pick of one of the farmers’ markets in Oshawa near 380 Gibb Street Apartments or visit them all throughout the spring and summer months.
