Getting around Brampton without a car

Partager:

Getting around Brampton without a car is easy with great public transit, cycling and car share options. Hazelview Properties’ Brampton apartments are located within close distance to all of life’s amenities, public transportation, recreational facilities, schools, shopping and restaurants.

Transit Options

Brampton has a transit service that extends from the Mount Pleasant GO station in the west, all the way to York University and the Finch subway station in the east. Both weekly and monthly passes are available, with daily fares costing $3.00 per person. Children five and under are free with a fare-paying adult. Brampton Transit is the public bus operator for the City of Brampton and is connected with Mississauga Transit to the south, York Region Transit to the east and the Toronto Transit Commission to the southeast. Brampton is served by GO trains on the Kitchener line between Toronto’s Union Station and Kitchener. The Brampton GO Station is located less than a 30-minute bus ride from Hazelview’s Brampton apartments at 25 Rambler Drive.

Car Sharing

Community CarShare is a non-profit car sharing co-operative that makes vehicles available to members on a self-serve, pay-per-use basis. This car-sharing program originated in Kitchener and has recently launched in Brampton. Reduce your carbon footprint and save money on transportation by using a car only when you need it. Membership for a simple plan is only $5.00 a month and reservations can be made by phone or online. Brampton also has a variety of car rental and taxi services, which can be found on the City of Brampton’s website.

Biking

Brampton is a very bike friendly city and cycling is permitted on city roads and designated multi-use paths. Brampton also offers their Bike & Ride program, which provides a bike rack on every bus to encourage more people to use these two methods of environmentally friendly transportation.

Making your way around Brampton and the rest of Toronto is simple with Hazelview’s car-free transportation and travel tips. Our Brampton community is located  in a family-friendly and quiet neighborhood in the heart of the city.
