Make the most of summer in Mississauga

Partager:

Warm weather is finally here and Hazelview Properties wants to help you get out of your Mississauga apartment and make the most of it. With its prime waterfront location, great public spaces and busy city calendar, you’ll find plenty to do right here in Mississauga this summer.

Keep your eye on Celebration Square
Located just a few minutes from The Omeath (30 Central Parkway West), you’ll find something for everyone at Celebration Square. The summer program includes regular fitness classes to help you get in shape, movie nights and live music for a night out with the whole family, and some delicious food festivals that you won’t want to miss.

Get active with Mississauga Recreation & Parks
The City of Mississauga has plenty to offer if you want to get active this summer. There are over ten recreation centres around the city, and Burnhamthorpe Community Centre is just around the corner from our Bridgewood Place apartments (1867 Bloor Street) and our Dixie Square Apartments (1750 Bloor Street and 3315 Fieldgate Drive). To join a team or drop in for a friendly scrimmage, check out this guide to Mississauga’s sports leagues and drop-in programs.  If you’d prefer a more structured environment, sign up for one of the city’s many active recreation programs (but act quickly, the summer registration deadline is June 30).

Head down to the water
Kick off the summer with the Mississauga Waterfront Festival on June 13 and 14 at Port Credit Memorial Park. Bring your whole family down to the lake for a vintage car show, an artisan market, lots of delicious dining and festival programming on a number of live stages.

This is just a taste of everything happening in Mississauga this summer. For more local festivals, check out this comprehensive list on Found Locally or this roundup of festivals in and around Toronto organized by month.
