Montreal's best coffee shops

Partager:

Fall is about curling up, getting cozy and getting caffeinated. When you live in Montréal, the choices for a quality cup of joe can feel a little overwhelming – there are so many great places to choose from! Here are some of Montréal's best coffee shops.

Le Roseline

Le Roseline (5014 Boul St-Laurent) serves double duty as a cozy café by day and a sumptuous, elegant bistro by night. Chef Alex Collyer's French-Italian menu may vary by time of day, but it's always a treat. Come for the coffee, stay for the cuisine.

Oui Mais Non

This welcoming café in Villeray (72 Rue Jarry E) is well known for staying open late. The pandemic may have altered their hours (fall schedule 7 am to 9 pm) but Oui Mais Non still serves up smooth java and quality comfort food. If you're in The Village, be sure to visit their sister store, La Graine Brûlée (921 St Catherine St E).

Café Olimpico

Café Olimpico has come a long way since Rocco Furfaro opened the first store in 1970. With locations in Mile End (124 rue Saint-Viateur Ouest), Old Port (419 Rue St. Vincent) and Downtown (1333 Boul. Robert Bourassa), experiencing the old-world elegance is easy.

Café Sfouf

Stop by Café Sfouf (1250 rue Ontario) for local St-Henri roasts along with excellent salads, sweets and Saturday brunch from 11:30 am to 4 pm.

Tommy Café + Apéro

The original location of Tommy is housed in the breathtaking British Empire Building

(200 Rue Notre-Dame West) in Old Montréal, which dates back to 1874. The high ceilings and arched windows make this one of the most beautiful cafes in Montréal. Their second location (151 rue St-Paul West) is also stunning, but cozier, thanks to the extensive use of wood, white brick and greenery.

We hope this list helps you make a wise choice when it comes to your morning, afternoon or evening coffee!
