Partager:

The Savour Food & Wine Festival is back from January 29th until March 5th with a variety of unique culinary events that celebrate our cultural interest and passion for great food, wine and beverages. The festival is taking place in a variety of venues across Halifax, many of which are within walking distance of Hazelview’s Halifax apartments.

About the Savour Food & Wine Festival

The Savour Food & Wine Festival is all about celebrating great food, wine and company. This annual festival showcases some of the region’s great restaurants, breweries, wineries and mixologists. The event is coordinated by the Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia and includes four signature events and a variety of other local culinary gatherings.

Past and Upcoming Signature Events

Decadence: Chocolate, Wine and Cheese

The Decadence: Chocolate, Wine and Cheese event took place on January 29th and showcased the chocolate expertise of the culinary students at NSCC’s Pastry Arts Program. This event offered pure indulgence by pairing artisanal cheese and succulent chocolate with wines, beer and cocktails from around the world. If you are a lover of sinfully sweet treats, this is an event you should mark on your calendar for next year’s festival.

Dine Around

The Dine Around signature event runs for the entire month of February and showcases an array of Nova Scotia restaurants at a great price with prix fixe menus. These menus are available for dinner and run from $25-$45 per meal. Many of Halifax’s top restaurants are participating in this event including Gio Restaurant, Harbour City Bar and Grill and Inn on the Lake. A full list of participating restaurants can be found here.

Rare and Fine Wine Tasting

The Rare and Fine Wine event takes place on February 27th at the Compass Room at Casino Nova Scotia and offers a selection of over 40 wines that have been rated 90 points and above by the world’s major wine publications. Enjoy world-class wines from Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Napa Valley, Tuscany and many other prestigious wine regions. The night will also be accompanied by tasty hors d’oeuvres and live jazz music.

Savour Food and Wine Show

The biggest event of the festival is the Savour Food and Wine portion of the show. This event takes place on March 5th at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax, a 15-minute drive from our 634 Parkland Drive Apartments. Browse, sample and enjoy items from over 65 restaurants along with various wine and beverage merchants.
