Where to Play Winter Sports in Lower Sackville

Whether you are playing a weekly game of shinny with your friends, learning the rules of water polo, or sliding stones across the ice while curling, Hazelview Properties has got you covered with the following recreational hotspots for winter. Hazelview has numerous  communitiesin Lower Sackville, including our 30 Touchstone Court and 38 Quinella Court apartments.

1)   Sackville Sports Stadium
The Sackville Sports Stadium is a multi-purpose interactive facility that offers a variety of programs and services in fitness, wellness, and sport. The Sackville Stadium is a community facility that offers people of all ages and skill levels opportunities to engage in activities such as youth hockey, ringette, indoor soccer, and skating. Recreational hockey leagues are divided into a men’s shinny league (for ages 35+), and a coed league with no age restrictions. The Sackville Sports Stadium is located less than five minutes from our 70 Cobequid Road Community.

2)   The Sackville Arena
The Sackville Arena is part of the Lake District Recreation Association (LDRA) which is a volunteer group dedicated to providing sport and leisure facilities, programs, and services to the community. The Sackville Arena offers public skate times, an adult men’s shinny league, and daytime hockey program for men and women under 50. Hazelview’s 30 Touchstone Court apartments are located less than 10 minutes away from the Sackville Arena.

3)    Lakeshore Curling Club
As the name would suggest, the Lakeshore Curling Club is a state-of-the-art community facility that specializes in curling leagues and activities. The Lakeshore Curling Club is Nova Scotia’s newest curling club, and offers a variety of adult leagues to meet its members’ needs and interests. Lakeshore Curling is close to our 9-54 Paige Plaza apartments, so grab your curling gear and hit the road.
