The long weekend is the perfect excuse to explore Burlington. Find a great May 2-4 event near our Burlington apartments in today’s post from the Hazelview Properties blog team.

Royal Botanical Gardens

Royal Botanical Gardens (680 Plains Road West) is a beautiful Spring destination. Over the May 2-4 weekend this local attraction is pulling out all the stops with a Biodiversity Celebration the entire family will love. Experience hands-on fun with animals and plants, guided hikes and children’s activities at this weekend festival. Events will be held in the Arboretum, around a five-minute drive from Barkley Towers Apartments (955 Warwick Court).

David Braley and Nancy Gordon Rock Garden

There is one more reason to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens this month. For the past three years, the grounds crew has been busy renovating the David Braley and Nancy Gordon Rock Garden. On May 20th, this spectacular garden space will open to the public. Be among the first to see stroll through the Rock Garden this Spring when you visit over the May 2-4 long weekend.

Burlington Chocolate Trail

The Burlington Chocolate Trail is up and running through the month of May and is a great option for the holiday weekend. With dozens of chocolatey events planned around town, this local festival is the perfect sweet treat. At 2:00 p.m. on May 21st and 22nd, Victorian tea and chocolate will be served at Spruce Lane Farmhouse. The farmhouse is located at scenic Bronte Creek Provincial Park (1219 Burloak Drive), around a 15-minute drive from Barkley Towers Apartments.

Art Gallery of Burlington

Every Sunday, the Art Gallery of Burlington (1219 Burloak Drive) hosts the GWD Foundation for Kids’ Creative Hub, an opportunity for youth to participate in hands-on arts activities. All are welcome at this free event, which runs from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The gallery is a 10-minute bike ride from Barkley Towers Apartments.
