Looking to camp out this summer and enjoy a fun-filled adventure that the whole family will love? Today on the blog, Hazelview Properties has compiled a few of our favourite campgrounds in Ontario, all within an hour of our Cambridge Apartments.

Guelph Lake Conservation Area

The Guelph Lake Conservation Area is a stunning natural area that offers plenty of opportunity for camping, swimming, fishing and more. Guelph Lake offers 104 service sites with electricity and water and about 190 un-serviced sites in a variety of locations, including riverfront and forest. Daily, monthly and seasonal rates are available. Click here for fee information. Rates range from $35 to $42 per night and the season runs from May until October. The Guelph Lake Conservation area is a 30-minute drive from Hazelview’s 204 Hespeler Road Community.

Milton Heights Campground Ltd.

Milton Heights offers a camping experience for everyone, with their basic tenting, water and electricity and sewer, water and electricity camping options. Basic tenting if for people who are looking to “rough it”, while the latter two option are designated for tenters or smaller pop-up trailers. Campground facilities include an outdoor heated pool, coin-operated laundry facilities, modern washrooms, free WiFi, a playground, a basketball court, horseshoe pits and more. Rates range from $34 to $41 and the campground is open year-round.

Valens Conservation Area

Valens Lake is a popular family campground area with 225 campsites, including 125 with electrical and water hookups. Up to six people are permitted per campsite and one vehicle is free with your permit. Reservations are accepted year round for camping during the season, which runs from May Long Weekend until Thanksgiving. Rates range from $33 to $36 per night. Recreational facilities include Valens Lake, boat rentals, a playground, modern bathrooms, showers and more. Valens Conservation area is a 20-minute drive from Hazelview’s Cambridge community.

Brant Conservation Area

Brant Conservation Area is a popular spot for camping just outside of Hazelview’s Cambridge communities in Brantford. This conservation area has 401 camping sites, including 126 with electricity and water. Daily rates range from $35 to $50 during the season from May until October. Recreational facilities include an on-site pool, access to the Grand River, a playground, swimming, fishing, modern restrooms and more.
