Comic Con comes to Hamilton

Comic Con comes to Hamilton this October.  Today on the blog we will give you a brief breakdown of this upcoming event, including festival information, how to get tickets and some of the festivals best bets. Hazelview Properties’ Hamilton apartments are located throughout the city’s most vibrant and bustling areas.

Hamilton Comic Con 2015

Hamilton Comic Con 2015 will feature more than 150,000 square feet and three floors of artists, exhibitors, movie and television celebrities, comic books, seminars, question and answer sessions, costume contests and much more. The event is presented by Mohawk College in order to showcase the rich culture of Hamilton and the city’s appreciation for all things arts & culture related. The event runs on October 3rd and October 4th and takes place at the Hamilton Convention Centre. The Hamilton Convention Centre is only a ten-minute walk from Hazelview’s 205 Hunter Street West Community in Hamilton.

Movie and television celebrities that are confirmed so far include:

  • Mark Boone Junior (Sons of Anarchy)
  • Lea Thompson (Back to the Future)
  • Tara Reid (American Pie/Sharknado)
  • Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek)

Tickets

Tickets are on sale now and are available from hamiltoncomiccon.com. There are a number of ticket options and packages available, including individual day passes, two-day passes and VIP passes. The VIP pass provides you with early access into the show, a speed pass for front line access to each celebrity Q&A session and plenty of Hamilton Comic Con swag.

Delorean

The DeLorean time machine from the Back to the Future franchise will be on display at the Hamilton Comic Con Festival for both days. In the feature film series, Dr. Emmett Brown builds a time machine based on an automobile, a DeLorean DMC – 12, with the intent of gaining insights into history and the future.

General Lee

The General Lee is another famous feature film car, a 1969 Dodge Charger featured in the television series, The Dukes of Hazzard. The General Lee is known for its signature horn, police chases and amazing stunts. The General Lee will be appearing at Hamilton Comic Con both days.

Sharknado Reunion

The cult classic movie franchise Sharknado will be hosting a cast reunion at the Hamilton Comic Con Festival. This reunion will feature stars of the film including Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, who will be coming together for a fun and interactive Q&A session.
