If you have some time on you hands, are crafty, and looking for a new project, then today is your lucky day! Freshen up your apartment’s décor with these three beautiful Do It Yourself accent pillow tutorials for our residents of our Brantford apartments.

Before you throw away that old sweater you don’t wear anymore, think of all the ways you could repurpose that great pattern. This tutorial shows you how to turn it into a beautiful accent pillow.

What you’ll need:

  • Sweater
  • Pillow form
  • Measuring tape
  • Scissors
  • Needle/thread
  • Sewing machine
  • Straight pins
  • Embellishments like buttons – optional

If you’re counting the days until spring comes, here is a DIY accent pillow that will get you inspired for the new season.

What you’ll need:

  • 11 jelly roll strips
  • Lining fabric, enough to cut one 16.5 inch square
  • Backing fabric, enough to cut two 12 x 16.5 inch rectangles
  • One 16"x16" pillow
