Outdoor Summer Concert at Burtch Baptist Church

Enjoy a wonderful evening of music, inspiration and fun at the Outdoor Summer Concerts at Burtch Baptist Church. This family-friendly event offers guests a night of moving music, hymns and entertainment. The event takes place on Sunday July 26th at 7 p.m. and features Gospel Music by The Torchmen. Parking is free.

Brantford International Jazz Festival presents Gino Vannelli

The Brantford International Jazz Festival will be presenting a special performance by legendary artist Gino Vannelli. This event takes place on Saturday, September 19th and begins at 8 p.m. Gino Vannelli is the recipient of multiple Canadian Juno awards, has been nominated for several Grammy Awards and has sold over 10 million records worldwide. This is a can’t-miss performance that is sure to be one of the highlights of the Brantford International Jazz Festival.

Symphony Under the Stars

Symphony Under the Stars takes place on August 20th from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Bell Homestead National Historic Site. The Brantford Community Symphony Orchestra will perform beautiful classical compositions under the stars, where guests can bring their favourite blanket or lawn chair and enjoy this free outdoor performance. The Bell Homestead National Historic Site was the home of inventor Alexander Graham Bell and is only a 30-minute walk from Hazelview’s Brantford Community at 150 Darling Street.

James Hillier Foundation presents Commander Chris Hadfield

On Thursday, September 10th starting at 7 p.m. at the Sanderson Centre, guests can enjoy this highly anticipated public appearance and talk by Commander Chris Hadfield. With three spaceflights and over 21 years of experience as a renowned astronaut, Colonel Hadfield has become a worldwide sensation. As a keynote speaker, Chris Hadfield will share his life experiences with videos, photos, a question and answer period and book signing. The Sanderson Centre is a 25-minute walk from our 28 Helen Avenue Apartments.
