Share:

It's hard to believe that February is in full swing already! That means Family Day is right around the corner. Do you have any plans yet? If not, these activities in Toronto are perfect for your Family Day long weekend together!

Attend Twilight Symphony at the Castle

Music lover? Catch an intimate candlelit concert at Casa Loma. Twilight Symphony at the Castle features the Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Paolo Busato. Held in the Carriage Room, you can expect a one-of-a-kind performance. Performances are on Tuesday night to Sunday night, weekly throughout February. Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings feature the Night at the Movies program. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings feature the From Broadway to Opera and Beyond program. Tickets are $75.

Get tickets for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

If you're looking for a fun family friendly activity you can enjoy on February 20th, consider getting tickets for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at Mirvish Theater. Prepare for a mind-blowing race through time, plenty of spells, and an epic battle. This performance is simply magical -- the entire theatre has been transformed with surprises to discover around every corner.

Explore Bloor-Yorkville Ice Fest

Love art? Enjoy a free outdoor ice sculpture gallery over the weekend at Ice Fest in Yorkville. Get a close look at 40 ice creations made from over 60,000 lbs. of ice on Bloor-Yorkville streets. Head to the Village of Yorkville Park to enjoy the sculptures as well as live ice carving demonstrations, an ice lounge and an ice wall with projections.

Enjoy Kuumba at Harbourfront Centre

Black Futures Month is devoted to celebrating, envisioning, and working toward positive futures for Black people. It is a complement to Black History Month. Celebrate with the family over Family Day weekend at Kuumba at Harbourfront Centre. Presented by TD Bank Group, Kuumba is Toronto’s largest Black Futures Month celebration. Enjoy dance, music, workshops and literary events that highlight contemporary artists and thought leaders from the Afro-diaspora in Canada.

Discover Ripley's Aquarium

If you or your kids love animals and aquatic life, a visit to Ripley's Aquarium might be a great way to celebrate Family Day this year. Home to 20,000 aquatic animals, the aquarium contains more than 5.7 million litres of water, the longest underwater viewing tunnel in North America, and over 100 interactive opportunities!

We hope this post helps you and your family enjoy the Family Day long weekend in Toronto!
