Freshen Up Your Apartment For Spring

Share:

Winter is almost behind us and with spring just around the corner, it’s time to think about giving your space a new look and feel. Hazelview Properties wants to help you fall in love with your home all over again.  Here are a few quick and easy ways to freshen up your apartment.

Greenery

Adding lush green plants is one of the easiest ways to get your space ready for spring. It will not only brighten up your apartment, but your mood as well. Ikea sells a good selection of indoor plants -- including the majesty palm, aloe vera and the snake plant -- at affordable prices. In addition to their visual appeal, plants have health benefits too such as purifying the air and reducing stress.

Coral

Coral is a great and refreshing colour for Spring.  Adding it to your home is a simple way to add warmth and comfort, while keeping it stylish and modern. Think about adding a coral accent rug or throw to brighten up a room, or incorporate a corap coloured piece of furniture for a statement piece. Another option is to add coral artwork to your home. Check out Wayfair for some beautiful prints and paintings.

Sunbaked Colours

Adding warm, summer colours is a great idea for the spring season. Think pinks, oranges and reds -- colours that remind you of sunsets and the desert. Terracotta is one way to make your space feel cozy and warm. Whether you decide to add a few terracotta plant pots or terracotta-toned accent furniture or home accessories, terracotta shades will always look modern and elegant. Try incorporating items that are blue, grey and muted pink as they'll complement terracotta well.

Art Deco

With subtle hints of Mediterranean and African culture, mixed with geometric patterns and bright colours, it’s no wonder why Art Deco has never gone out of style. To get this look, think of African prints, ornate furniture and geometric shapes. You can also incorporate high contrast colours and interesting wall art to really get that Art Deco appeal.

Monochrome

The black-and-white trend never gets old. It’s classic and sophisticated. While back and white always looks right, it can get a little overwhelming. If your space is filled with it, you can make it look more interesting by incorporating tones and shades of the same colour, plus different textures and metallics. Add some accent colours, like yellow or green to really make everything pop. Throw in some wooden elements or antique furniture to add warmth.

Hazelview hopes these spring home decor suggestions will help you freshen up your home for the coming season.
