How To Create More Living Spaces For Your Cat

Share:

Whether you live in a big house or a small apartment, your cat will want to run around and explore. Hazelview Properties has a few suggestions for how you can make more living spaces for your cat.

Hammock

You probably already know that hammocks are the ultimate relaxation items -- it’s no wonder people love them. But did you know that cats love them, too?! Create the perfect cat hammock to spoil your feline friend. By adding a piece of fabric underneath a side table or coffee table, you can make a hanging hammock and the perfect little nook for your cat. Another option is to use an old chair or table, flip it upside down and make a free standing hammock using the table as the base. Your cat will love their new lounge area!

Window Seat

Almost every cat loves hanging out by a window and with just a few shelves, shelf brackets and screws, you can build the perfect window seat for them. Pick a window that has wall space underneath it and screw the shelves to the wall. Another great option is to buy a sunny seat for your cat. All you have to do is mount it to the window. Now sit back, relax and let your cat enjoy the view.

Screens

Cats are very curious animals and sometimes they’ll find the most random things to play with. Curtains are a perfect example. They like to hide behind them, run through them and even take a nap underneath them. You can make screens with a couple of pieces of fabric and a small rod, which can serve as a quiet spot for your kitty as well as a way to hide clutter. Consider adding the curtains to a small bookshelf or open shelving unit.

Wall Shelves

Another way to spoil your feline friend is to create a few wall shelves specifically for your cat. Instead of a traditional cat tree, which can be bulky, a couple of shelves can be a better option -- especially in a small space. Try the Cat Cloud. It’s a good option if you want something minimal, heavy duty and easy to install. The design works with any decor style and we know your cat will love it.

Hazelview hopes these suggestions inspired you to create a better living space for your cat. From hammocks to wall shelves, there’s at least one option your cat will love. To find your home with Hazelview Properties, please visit our website.
