Make the most of Oakville's waterfront

Share:

Make the most of Oakville’s picturesque waterfront by experiencing the Waterfront Trail and Bronte Harbor. Hazelview’s Oakville communities are located in the heart of Kerr Village, which offers scenic views of Lake Ontario.

Bronte Village
Explore Bronte Village in southwest Oakville, which is one of Ontario’s oldest and most scenically beautiful waterfront communities. Bronte Village has two open and publically accessible harbors- Inner and Outer as the town was a commercial shipping hub back in the 19th century. Stroll along Bronte Village’s stunning Heritage Waterfront Park which features access to the harbor, boardwalk and pier, lighthouse, beach, parklands, cycling and walking trails, picnic areas and children’s play areas. There are plenty of unique and interesting merchants, boutiques and restaurants to explore. Bronte Harbour is also a hub of activity for people who enjoy sailing and being on the water. National One Design Sailing Academy has a unique program for both children and adults alike, with either no, limited or advanced experience in sailing and it is only a ten-minute drive from Hazelview’s 444 Kerr Street apartments in Oakville.

Explore the Waterfront Trail
The Waterfront Trail stretches over 1,400 kilometers along the Canadian shores of Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair and the Niagara, Detroit and St. Lawrence Rivers, connecting over 68 communities including Oakville. The trail connects more than 400 parks and natural areas including wetlands, forest and beaches throughout these communities. The Oakville portion of the trail is accessible from Bronte Harbour and features tree-lined streets, an expansive trail network through wooded areas and meadows, two vibrant harbours, formal gardens and more. For an interactive map of the trail system visit the Waterfront Trail’s website.

Enjoy Oakville’s stunning waterfront this summer by taking a stroll through Bronte Village and exploring the Waterfront Trail.Â
