Make your own Halloween treats!

Coffin Sandwich Cookies

These Coffin Sandwich Cookies are a cinch to make. The trick to this treat is to drag a fork through the royal icing (confectioners' sugar and meringue powder) after you spread it on the coffin-shaped cookie. This will create a deliciously distressed wood look. A seasonally appropriate orange buttercream filling means these Halloween treats will bury the competition on your dessert table.

Frankenstein Cake

We know what you're thinking, and you're right -- this Frankenstein Cake should actually be called Frankenstein's Monster Cake. Spooky semantics aside, this fun and easy, darkly festive, cinnamon swirl cake is perfect for the season. It's so easy, you may want to make two and decorate one as Frankenstein's Monster and the other as The Bride of Frankenstein.

Boozy Screamsicle Shakes

If you're planning on an adult's-only spooky soiree this season, these Boozy Screamsicle Shakes are sure to send a chill down your spine. They're made with orange sherbet, milk and vanilla vodka, topped with finely crushed Oreo cookies, orange and black sprinkles and whipped cream. Cheers to fears!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Spiderweb Brownies

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Spiderweb Brownies will be enjoyed by your whole spooky crew! They are vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free. The finishing touch for these rich and fudgy brownies is simply all-natural peanut butter (or your favourite nut butter). To create the spider web effect, place the nut butter in a resealable plastic bag, snip off a corner and pipe a dot of peanut butter onto the centre of the brownie. From that dot, pipe 6 total lines, evenly fanned out across the top.

We hope these DIY Halloween treats help make this spooky season even more special.
