Looking for ways to make the most out of the Victoria Day long weekend on

Monday May 18th? There are a number of local Toronto events and activities that are perfect for the whole family to enjoy on the long weekend. Hazelview Properties offers properties throughout Toronto’s most vibrant and bustling areas including the heart of downtown, midtown and north Toronto.

Evergreen Brickworks

Evergreen Brickworks is a beautiful public space located in Toronto’s Don Valley neighbourhood. It is a community environmental center that engages visitors of all ages with a number of interactive workshops and communal activities. For the May long weekend Evergreen Brickworks will be hosting urban gardening workshops that show you how to make the most of the spring season. Evergreen Brickworks is a 20-minute transit ride from Hazelview’s 392 Sherbourne Street Community.

Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival

The annual Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival is back for another year and takes place from May 1st until the 31st. The festival features more than 1500 Canadian and international artist and photographers who exhibit their work and celebrate the art and profession of photography. Spend the long weekend enjoying some stunning local art within a number of museums and galleries around the city.

Fireworks

Enjoy fireworks celebrations throughout Toronto in honour of Victoria Day. The fireworks at Ashbridges Bay Park are a must-see event, which takes place at 9:45 p.m on May 18th. The display will last approximately 20 minutes and are a wonderful way to end your long weekend with a bang, literally. Another option for fireworks is to catch the display at Canada’s Wonderland, just north of Toronto.

Toronto International Circus Festival

The Toronto International Circus Festival is back to take over the city from May 16th until May 18th. Enjoy high flying acrobats, dazzling daredevils and great performers from all over Canada and the world. This Victoria Day weekend families can enjoy three jam-packed days of circus fun, featuring fire-eaters, street performers, stilt walkers, balloon artists, clowns, magicians and more. This free event is taking place at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, a 20-minute transit ride from Hazelview’s 34 Maitland Street Community.
