Mississauga’s Best Patios

Share:

One of the best parts of summer is the transformation in Canadians’ lifestyle. It’s amazing how much happier and relaxed people become. It’s only a theory, but perhaps a part of this shift comes from the time we can all spend outdoors and ample access to patios. Even on cooler spring and summer days, Canadians are known to stick it out on the patio. In honour of this excellent summer pastime, Hazelview Properties has compiled a list of some of Mississauga’s best patios.

West 50 Pourhouse & Grille (50 Burnhamthorpe Road West)
With over 100 beers on tap, West 50 Pourhouse & Grille is the patio spot for the summer months. Set aside some time to do some reading and work your way through the full offering of beers on tap at the Pourhouse. The drink menu also features some beer creations including the ‘Mangria’, a combination of Fruili Strawberry wheat ale with triple sec and apricot brandy. Other original offerings include a flight of mojitos or variations of Caesars. The restaurant also has more traditional drinks such as wine, spirits and specialty cocktails. If all that’s not enough to convince you, there’s also a large patio space that gets especially busy over the weekends. The patio is even heated for cooler summer evenings and use into the fall.  On the weekends, stick around after dinner on the patio as the restaurant shifts into a nightclub space after 9:30 p.m.

Failte Irish Pub  (201 City Centre Drive)
Sure there’s Guinness, whiskey, fish and chips and all the things that make an Irish Pub great, but one of the best features of Failte’s is the patio. This is an excellent spot for people watching and spending the evening with your friends. This space gets crowded fast so arrive early to claim your table.  In addition to the great outdoor space, there’s live music and an animated atmosphere over the weekends.

The Open Cork Eatery & Lounge (2101 Dundas Street East)
This spot has a casual atmosphere and is an excellent place to take in a breezy summer afternoon or evening. For those fair of skin or adverse to the sun, there are also plenty of shady spots and lots of seating. The Open Cork is known as one of the best patios in the west-end of the Etobicoke-Mississauga area.

Of course, it’s always nice to be able to have your own patio getaway. Why not host a patio afternoon at your Mississauga apartment? Hazelview Properties’ Omeath Court has lovely balconies that provide picturesque views of the neighbourhood. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy an evening drink or your morning coffee.

Are there any other local patios that should be added to this list?  Please leave a comment or suggestion for our community members. Hazelview Properties offers rental apartments located in the most convenient locations of Mississauga, enjoy all the best of city living with lots of nearby amenities, restaurants, pubs and patios.
