We are so excited for spring to finally grace us with its presence in Canada. Winters here are not for the faint of heart, so when we see buds and blossoms peeking out of the soil it's cause for celebration. Vintage flare

Spring is usually all about new things bursting forth, but a major spring 2020 home decor trend takes a look back. Add a pop of the past by incorporating vintage accent pieces into your home this spring. Don't go overboard,  just add accents -- think statement antique lighting, art, furnishings and flatware. Visit a great antique shop in your neighbourhood, an antique mall, or even a Value Village to hunt down the perfect pieces for your space. 

Classic blue

Pantone's colour of the year is "classic blue". It's a beautiful member of the navy family. Subtle but bold, it's a fabulous and grounding colour to incorporate into your home this spring. We love the classic pairing of navy blue and white and it's easy to pull off on a budget by picking up classic blue pillow cases, throws and curtains. 

Florals

One trend we always welcome in the spring is florals. We're not talking fresh arrangements here -- floral textile patterns are back in a big way. The trend favours big and bold floral prints in vibrant colours and metallic tones. Add a touch of life to your space with oversized floral print bedding, pillows, throws, curtains and even furniture. 

Wicker

This one took us a minute to hop onboard with but now we're hooked. Wicker is back and it's moved indoors! Think wicker chairs, tables and even lighting fixtures.
